This blog has been created by a freelance writer and photographer who both live in the Middle Eastern country of Jordan. We have both traveled along the King's Highway, an ancient trade route which runs north and south along the length of most of the country, winding its way through a chain of mountains. It is here that you can find Jordanian villagers and Bedouins still living in their traditional goat hair tents. They all have stories, and their lives are usually lived far away from the gaze of tourists, who generally visit the country's more famous sites.
Our hope is to give you insight and understanding into the rich culture of these people and their way of life, to know their names, their histories. If you grow in understanding towards the fascinating people of Jordan's mountainous and desert lands, then we have accomplished our goal.
We hope that you will visit this site often as it grows and changes and we add the stories of real people and places rarely documented on the internet.
